In collaboration with The LOHM and Topeka Sam, Growing Peace proudly introduced a revolutionary initiative at the Edgecombe Correctional Facility. Through this partnership, eight cutting-edge hydroponics towers were installed within the facility's premises.

Among the array of fresh produce cultivated within these hydroponics towers, you'll find a vibrant selection, including kale, lettuce, basil, cilantro, and collard greens. Each tower operates efficiently, yielding an impressive bounty of 5-10 pounds of nutritious, organic produce every month.

This abundance of fresh greens nourishes the inmates and extends its benefits to the staff and the surrounding community. This initiative fosters holistic wellness and promotes positive change within the correctional environment by cultivating a sustainable source of wholesome nutrition.
